Alfalfa sprouts - Gilė Sprout

Sprouting Instructions

Alfalfa sprouts

Hey there,

I am going to tell you a little secret – sprouts of alfalfa are super delicious and very easy-to-grow. They are small, crunchy sprouts with a mild taste. Add alfalfa aka lucerne sprouts to any dish to add that little special crunch.

Step 1: Choosing seeds (Day 1)

Choose organic raw alfalfa seeds.

Step 2: Soaking (Day 1)

Pour alfalfa seeds in a jar with warm water. You only need 1 tablespoon of seeds to get 1 1/2 cups of sprouts. Soak alfalfa in warm water for 6-8 hours.

Step 3: Germination (Day 2)

After that rinse and drain 2 to 3 times per day.  After thoroughly draining the rinse water, lay the jar on its side to spread out the seeds. Do not expose to light.

Step 4: Process (Day 3 and Day 4)
